Women as powerful change agents.
The Women Integrated Development Programme enables women to build confidence, manage savings, access credit, start small businesses and participate in village development. In 2024–25, it reached 51,850 women across 315 villages with support from 55 coordinators.
Problem
Rural women are often excluded from public decision-making and safe financial access.
Approach
Build savings groups, strengthen MACS, train leaders and create income opportunities.

Safe water managed by communities.
Jana Vikasa facilitates community water purification plants and borewells that bring safe water closer to homes. Local committees manage plants through affordable user fees so systems remain functional after installation.

Families face health risks and women and children lose time when water is distant or unsafe.

Install safe water infrastructure and build community ownership for maintenance.

Education, confidence and future readiness.
Jana Vikasa supports children facing poverty, disability or family vulnerability with educational supplies, scholarships and recognition. The Youth Convention provides guidance on personality development, career direction and cyber safety.

Accessible care in village life.
Women’s groups extend their empowerment by organising health camps, elderly support drives, orphan solidarity programmes and water donation kiosks. These initiatives combine care with leadership.

Care for people who cannot help themselves.
Humanitarian work is part of Jana Vikasa’s founding spirit. The organisation supports widows, elderly people, orphans, sick persons and persons with disabilities with dignity, materials, nutrition, education and emotional support.
